Fujiacun

Fujiacun Park is situated in the central part of the southern seaside scenic area and was built in 1959. It features uniquely beautiful natural scenery, with high sloped plateaus to the east and west and a broad sandy beach in the middle. The eastern and western Dalian Islands face the beach from across the sea, creating a multi-dimensional seascape of ocean, beach, reefs, and mountains. The natural scenery is diverse and picturesque, and there are several excellent swimming beaches. Legend has it that over 300 years ago, a fisherman surnamed Fu drifted from Shandong and settled here with his family, giving rise to the name “Fujiacun,” also known as Xinghaitun. Over time, it became commonly referred to as “Fujiacun.”

The western part of the scenic area is home to Fujiacun and Fujiacun Park, which includes a 550-meter-long seaside bathing beach. The total sandy area spans 26,000 square meters and runs east-west. The beach is wide, gently sloped, and covered with fine sand, with clean seawater and calm waves. The bathing beach is fully equipped with facilities. After the liberation, the municipal government designated it as one of Dalian’s four major seaside bathing beaches. In 1980, Fujiacun Park was built in the coastal area, becoming part of Dalian’s southern seaside scenic zone.

Fujiacun lies to the west of Yanwo Ridge and to the east of Baiyun Villa, covering an area of 40 hectares. This area offers a complete set of landscapes including mountains, islands, reefs, and forests, with a serene and beautiful environment. Not far from the shore, there are several small islands scattered in the sea, such as Dongdalian, Xidalian, Erduo, and Laopian. The eastern part of the scenic area is home to resorts and a tourism service center. Rows of distinctive building complexes are scattered among the surrounding mountains, each with its own unique charm. The area around the scenic zone is part of Dalian’s well-known seaside health resort base, where more than ten sanatoriums have been established. Every summer, tens of thousands of visitors from all over the country come here for recuperation. They either swim in the sea or stroll along forest paths, each enjoying their own leisure.
