People's Stadium
Introduction The Dalian People's Stadium was first built in 1925 during the Japanese occupation. In 1997, after a major renovation, it took on its current form. Covering an area of over 100,000 square meters, it has a seating capacity of more than 60,000. Most of Dalian’s large-scale events and sports activities are held here. It is also the home stadium of the Dalian Shide Football Team. Dalian has long enjoyed a national reputation for its high level of competitive sports, particularly excelling in track and field, football, swimming, and cycling — known as the “four pillars.”
