Big Cherry Sightseeing & Picking Garden
The big cherry is the earliest ripening fruit and deciduous tree species in the north, often hailed as the “first branch of spring fruit.” Dalian’s Jinzhou District has been cultivating cherries for over 100 years and is one of the birthplaces of the big cherry in China.
In recent years, cities such as Dalian’s Jinzhou and Lushun have vigorously developed the cherry industry. All 10 townships in Jinzhou District have planted big cherries, covering a total area of 102,000 mu, with an annual output of over 5,000 tons, accounting for a quarter of the national annual production, making it widely known as the “Big Cherry Capital” of China.
The big cherry production base grows both greenhouse and field-grown cherries, offering a full variety, authentic flavors, large yields, and pollution-free produce. Product availability: Greenhouse cherries from mid-March each year, field-grown cherries from early June each year.
