East Sea Park

East Sea Park, located in the easternmost part of Dalian’s coastal scenic area, covers an area of over 450 hectares and is about 10 kilometers from the city center. It borders the sea on both sides, connects to Zhongshan District of Dalian to the north, and features the Bangchui Island Scenic Area to the southwest.

East Sea Park offers stunning scenery and picturesque landscapes, with a coastline stretching over 1,200 meters. It is a coastal park characterized by its mountains, forests, blue seas, and grasslands as the main natural features. Along its 7.6-kilometer-long scenic route, there are two must-see attractions: one is the Eighteen Bends, which winds up and down through the hills and mountains with unique views, offering a bird’s-eye perspective as the road resembles a silver ribbon winding toward the coast; the other is the “Strange Slope” located beyond the Eighteen Bends, where cars defy gravity by rolling uphill as if going downhill — a delightfully peculiar sight.
