Dalian Golden Pebble Golf Club is located in the eastern scenic area of the Dalian Golden Pebble Beach National Tourist Resort on the Yellow Sea coast of the Liaodong Peninsula, known as the "Divine Sculpture Park." It covers an area of 3,000 acres (1.87 million square meters). The course is 58 kilometers from downtown Dalian, 56 kilometers from Dalian International Airport, 28 kilometers from the Dalian Economic and Technological Development Zone, and 21 nautical miles from Guanglu Island in Changhai County. Golden Pebble Golf features two courses: the Divine Turtle Course in Area A, which was constructed starting August 1993 and officially opened to the public in September 1996. This 18-hole, par-72 course spans 7,126 yards; the Golden Eagle Course in Area B was completed in May 2002, also an 18-hole, par-72 layout, stretching 6,415 yards.

Design Structure

The course was co-designed by the renowned American golf course architect Mr. Pete Dye and Chinese-American designer Mr. Zhu Zongying. Thanks to the natural coastal scenery, unique hilly terrain, and masterful design, the entire course is expansive and dramatic, with each hole featuring distinct shapes. Some holes are built along the shore, some greens sit atop cliffs, and some have ocean bays separating the tee and green. Seven of its holes are ranked among the world’s 100 best.

The most thrilling of all is the Devil’s Hole, the 7th hole. Perched high above, it demands both skill and luck to earn applause. It’s considered a rare gem in China—exceptionally challenging, naturally spectacular, and blessed with stunning coastal views. This astonishing 7th hole features a tee box on a mountaintop, with a tiny island green floating amid crashing waves. Even professionals can’t escape the wrath of the giant swells. This 3-par, 132-yard hole, buffeted by fierce sea winds and guarded by a minuscule green, is both exhilarating and demanding—one of the true tests of skill and courage.

Facilities

The clubhouse and villas of Golden Pebble Golf Club are exquisitely designed, all constructed with imported Canadian fir logs, offering a full North American aesthetic. The first floor of the clubhouse houses the reception area, including a front desk, pro shop, retail store, locker rooms, and showers. The second floor includes a restaurant, lounge, and small meeting room, making it an ideal venue for dining, gatherings, and business meetings. In front of the clubhouse, there is a large parking lot and a helicopter pad. To the east of the clubhouse are newly built caddie rest areas and electric cart charging facilities. Against the backdrop of blue skies, white clouds, and sea, the greenery, red walls, flowers, fluttering national and club flags create a breathtaking scene. Here, you can fully enjoy the sunshine, greenery, and fresh air gifted by nature, as well as the warm hospitality and attentive service provided by the Golden Pebble team.

The clubhouse restaurant, run by experienced chefs, offers a wide selection of Chinese and Western cuisine, as well as authentic Korean and Japanese dishes. All dishes are made with carefully selected ingredients and balanced nutrition. Dalian Golden Pebble Beach is abundant in seafood, and its wild sea cucumber is famous both in China and abroad.
