Dalian Xiangying Park

Xiangying Park is located in the old town area of Jinzhou, Dalian, Liaoning Province. Established in 1949, it covers an area of 146,000 square meters, including a 43,000-square-meter water surface known as Jinzhou Park (also called the Artificial Lake). In 1989, it was renamed “Xiangying Park,” with the name inscribed by Wang Zhen.

Shortly after the Lantern Festival in 2012, the landscape renovation project of Xiangying Park commenced amid the roar of machinery. As a key livelihood project for the year, the 100-million-yuan renovation is set to be completed by the end of May. By then, the park will present a brand-new look to the public.

Xiangying Park has long been a major activity hub for nearby residents. However, due to its early construction period, issues such as limited planning area, outdated infrastructure, localized vegetation degradation, and severe damage to certain road and facility sections have become increasingly prominent. In particular, the surrounding flea market and shantytowns have significantly impacted the park’s environment.
