Jinzhou Baohua Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Baohua Temple is located in Baishi Village, Sanlishipu, Jinzhou. The temple is currently under expansion (as of June 2007), with three or four main halls under construction, indicating its grand scale. The current main hall is a modern structure that enshrines various deities. The temple grounds are lush with greenery and dotted with stone-carved candle towers.

Baohua Temple is extraordinarily large in scale. Judging by the size of the completed sections alone, no other temple in southern Liaoning dares to compete with Baohua Temple. Not only is the temple vast, but six towering ornamental columns and two Nine-Dragon Walls have been erected in the square in front of its mountain gate—a bold move not everyone would dare to undertake. It seems Jinzhou truly is a place where hidden talents abound, and the people of Jinzhou are truly remarkable.

In front of and behind Beijing’s Tiananmen Gate, there are only two ornamental columns each, and the Forbidden City has just one Nine-Dragon Wall—all symbols of imperial power. When Dalian’s Xinghai Square installed a single ornamental column, it sparked widespread discussion and speculation across the country.

Transportation: Take a bus from Dalian to Jinzhou District, then transfer to a minibus or taxi to reach the temple.

By car: From Dalian, exit Shenda Expressway at Sanlishipu, drive back 1 km, turn left at the crossroads, continue inward, pass under the railway overpass, then turn right and follow the road to the destination.
