Museum of Chinese Culture

The Museum of Chinese Culture is located in the Dalian Golden Pebble Beach Cultural Expo Plaza and is dedicated to promoting Chinese culture. The museum features three major exhibition areas: Ancient Royal Treasures, Modern and Contemporary Art, and Intangible Cultural Heritage. It displays nearly a thousand artistic treasures from different periods of Chinese history, showcasing the long-standing and profound richness of Chinese culture.

The five Royal Treasures exhibition halls house hundreds of fine artworks including porcelain, gold and silverware, Buddhist statues, calligraphy and paintings, and jade artifacts. These collections have been academically authenticated and highly praised by authoritative experts from the National Cultural Relics Society, History Museum, Palace Museum, and Archaeological Research Institute. The museum’s five treasured masterpieces — “Qing Dynasty Engraved Porcelain Vase with Gold Inlay and Cloisonné Dragon and Phoenix,” “Yuan Dynasty Wang Zhenpeng’s Friendship Painting on Paper,” “Tang Dynasty Gilded Silver Dragon and Phoenix Plate,” “Northern and Southern Dynasties Hetian Jade Buddha with Gold Inlay,” and “Han Dynasty Hetian Jade Bi Disk with Gold and Silver Inlay and Extended Rim” — bear witness to the eternal glory of China’s cultural heritage passed down through generations.
