Shihé Beacon Tower is a cultural relic protection unit of Liaoning Province.

Shihé Beacon Tower is located atop Dongtai Mountain in Shihé Village, Shihé Subdistrict Office, Jinzhou District, Dalian City.

It is one of the coastal defense beacon towers built during the Ming Dynasty to guard against Japanese pirates. During the Ming era, Jinzhou was frequently raided by pirates. To defend against their harassment and plundering, numerous beacon towers were erected along the Yellow Sea and Bohai Sea coasts of the Liaodong Peninsula, forming a network centered on Jinzhou Wei, with three main and branch lines extending south to Lushunkou in Jinzhou, north to Liaoyang, and east to Jiuliancheng. In June of the 17th year of the Yongle reign during the Ming Dynasty (1419 AD), Liu Jiang, the Left Regional Commander and overall military commander of Liaodong, utilized the beacon tower system to transmit military intelligence. He annihilated over 1,500 invading pirates in a single battle at Wanghaiguo in Jinzhou, an event historically known as the "Great Victory at Wanghaiguo." From then on, pirates and marauders no longer dared to invade Liaodong. Historically, Shihé Beacon Tower suffered repeated damage from both natural forces and human activity. It was restored in the late 1990s, designated as a municipal-level cultural relic protection unit by the Dalian Municipal Government in 2001, and further recognized as a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit by the Liaoning Provincial Government in 2007.

Protected area: within 50 meters outside the base of the tower.

Construction control zone: a Zone III construction control area within 200 meters outside the protected area.

Shihé Subdistrict: Shihé Town in Jinzhou District, Dalian City, is located in the northern part of Jinzhou, covering an area of 84 square kilometers with a population of 28,000. It has 1,333 hectares of arable land, including 1,066 hectares of grain fields, 200 hectares of vegetable plots, and 566 hectares of orchards, making it an important production area in Jinzhou District for fruits, vegetables, and animal husbandry. The area annually produces nearly 10,000 tons of fruit, 40,000 tons of commercial vegetables, 1.2 million poultry, 24,000 tons of aquatic products, and exports agricultural and sideline products worth 230 million RMB.
