Tongshi Sightseeing and Picking Garden boasts beautiful scenery and a pleasant climate, with 2,660 acres of orchards and over 30 varieties of fruit. After April 25th, as if overnight a spring breeze has blown, thousands of pear trees burst into bloom. By the time the petals begin to fall (after May 10th), the apricots—still the size of grape seeds and not yet fully formed—have become a delightful treat for children. After August 10th, the pale yellow early fragrant pears and light green cheetou pears hang abundantly on the branches, offering a crisp, sweet-and-sour taste that is juicy and refreshing—an ideal choice for beating the summer heat. By September 15th, varieties such as the fine-textured, richly aromatic Nanguo and Xiangyanghong pears gradually ripen, while the pointed pears and snowflake pears, which have absorbed the essence of heaven and earth and the vitality of the sun and moon, are finally harvested in the golden autumn (after October 10th).
