Pear Blossom Valley is a tourist attraction that has gained fame in recent years. It is located in Liandao Village, Shiwen Town, Fushun County, just 25 kilometers from downtown Fushun and adjacent to Shenyang and Benxi. The area has a centuries-long history of fruit tree cultivation, with a total of 28,000 mu of orchards in the village. There are over 400 pear trees over a hundred years old, making it a unique sight in Liaoning. Known for producing more than 20 types of fruits such as Nanguo pears, pointed pears, apple pears, Hanfu apples, grapes, mountain apricots, hawthorns, cherries, and plums, it is hailed as the “Fruit Tree Museum” of eastern Liaoning. The valley has the densest concentration of ancient pear trees—over 200 in total. These century-old trees, selected through centuries of growth, still bloom profusely and bear abundant fruit. Some yield up to 2,000 pounds of fruit annually, truly earning the title of “Kings of Pear Trees.”

Every year during the blooming season, tens of thousands of tourists from nearby cities flock to Pear Blossom Valley to admire this spring’s most “pure” scenery. Most of the fruit trees here grow naturally, forming clusters rather than neat rows. Pear trees of all sizes dot the hillsides, rising and falling in elevation, scattered yet harmonious. From mid-April to the end of May, the valley bursts into a riot of blossoms. Stretching across tens of kilometers, the pear blossom woods are interspersed with cherry blossoms, apricot blossoms, plum blossoms, apple blossoms, and colorful wildflowers covering the mountains. Together with the blue sky, white clouds, villages, farmhouses, and plowing oxen… they form a visually stunning, vibrant scene full of wild charm and deep rural nostalgia, making it one of the must-visit spring destinations in the Liaoning-Shenyang area.

To help visitors relax and enjoy the natural beauty at their leisure, the local Party committee and government have further improved the scenic area’s infrastructure. They have leveled paths leading to attractions such as the Immortal’s Crossing, Wishing Pool, Horse Drinking Stone, and Twin Peaks. New additions include fun hiking trails, a red-themed scenic area, a [missing term] world, and a food street. Activities promoting civilized tourism have also been arranged, such as trash-for-prizes programs, butterfly releases, and handicraft displays. The goal is to provide a “one-stop” experience that fulfills the comprehensive tourism desires of “admiring pear blossoms, enjoying farmhouse meals, buying local specialties, and immersing in pastoral charm.”

Throughout Pear Blossom Valley, visitors dressed in bright clothing can be seen everywhere, and the sound of camera shutters clicking fills the air. “Walking among the flowers, as if strolling through a painting,” there’s no need to search for the perfect view—the stunning scenery all around constantly inspires people to capture the moment.
