Majundan Fort

Majundan Fort is a cultural relic protection unit of Liaoning Province.

Majundan Fort is located in Majundan Village, Jiubing Township, Fushun County, at an elevation of 189 meters. The Dongzhou River flows 300 meters north of the fort, meandering from east to west around Majundan Village before turning north to join the Hun River. The village where the fort is situated, Majundan Village, currently has over 100 resident households with approximately 400 people. The overall preservation of the fort is fair, with some sections of the southern wall relatively well-preserved. The site contains a wealth of relics, including numerous Ming Dynasty stone carvings and stonework architectural elements. Items such as mounting stones, stone lions, and plinths can be found, some of which feature relief carvings of lotus flowers, qilin (mythical creatures), and other patterns.

Protected area: With the center of the main entrance of the Majundan Supply and Marketing Cooperative (longitude 124°03′45.3″, latitude 41°30′09.9″) as the reference point, the protected zone extends 330 meters east, 200 meters south, 100 meters west, and 230 meters north.

Construction control zone: A Class I construction control zone lies beyond the protected area, extending 300 meters east and west, and 100 meters south and north.
