Eight Pagodas

The Eight Pagodas are a cultural relic protection unit of Liaoning Province.

The Eight Pagodas are located in Bat village, Qianyang Township, about 10 kilometers southwest of Yixian County, Liaoning Province. Also known as the Liao Dynasty Eight Pagodas, they are commonly referred to as the Eight Pagodas. The eight pagodas are built on eight peaks along a steep mountain ridge, each with a unique shape and distinct style—some are square, pentagonal, hexagonal, octagonal, or even decagonal—all constructed from blue bricks. They are truly rare among ancient pagoda complexes in China. They are now a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit.
