Jinzhou Expo Garden is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Jinzhou, bordered by the Bohai Sea to the south and Songling Mountain to the north, lies at the eastern end of the Liaoxi Corridor and serves as a vital transportation hub and strategic gateway connecting Northeast China and North China. With a history of 2,100 years, Jinzhou has long been known as the “Splendid Prefecture.” Today, the city has turned toward the sea and has become an important port city in the Bohai Rim region, a key node in the national development strategy of the Liaoning Coastal Economic Belt, and is striving to become the second-largest city along the coast of Liaoning. As Jinzhou opens its arms to embrace the sea, the world has offered it a rare opportunity. In 2010, approved by the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA), supported by the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH), and jointly organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People’s Republic of China, the National Tourism Administration, the State Oceanic Administration, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the People’s Government of Liaoning Province, and the Chinese Society of Landscape Architecture, and hosted by the People’s Government of Jinzhou City, the 2013 China•Jinzhou International Horticultural Exposition was held from May to October 2013 in the Longqiwan New District of Jinzhou. The Jinzhou International Horticultural Exposition marked the first global collaboration between the two leading international authorities on gardens and horticulture, pioneering a new model for such expos.

Jinzhou Expo Garden is the site of the 2013 China Jinzhou International Horticultural Exposition. Although the exposition officially ended in October 2013, the vast park remains open to the public. The first seaside world exposition garden officially opened in its entirety on May 1, 2014.

May is the peak blooming season for tulips. In 2013, the tulip belt at Jinzhou Expo Garden left a wonderful impression on visitors and successfully broke the Guinness World Record, becoming the longest tulip valley in the world. In 2014, the number of planted tulips increased by 4 million compared to 2013.

Jinzhou Expo Garden features over 44,000 square meters of tulip plantings, including more than 100 varieties such as Dutch Corner, Evita, Shrek, Orange Emperor, Beauty, Van Eijk, Pink Romance, and Yellow Passion. It is reported that the tulip blooming period is expected to last from around May 1st to May 25th.

Building upon the 2013 foundation, Jinzhou Expo Garden integrated and updated several landscapes, pavilions, and facilities. The Taiwan Grand Garden was transformed into the Folk Culture Pavilion, themed around Taiwanese folklore, offering mainland visitors a unique experience.
