Asiana Airlines is actively involved in international public welfare efforts. On June 1st, led by President & CEO Yoon Yong-doo of Asiana Airlines, a delegation from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) visited Banwan Bay Primary School in Weihai City, Shandong Province, China, to engage in a partnership activity. Meanwhile, Park Sam-koo, Chairman of the Kumho Asiana Group to which Asiana Airlines belongs and President of the Korea-China Friendship Association, has also made significant contributions to promoting friendship and economic growth between Korea and Weihai, for which he was awarded an honorary citizenship certificate by the Weihai municipal government.
Currently, the Kumho Asiana Group operates the Weihai Kumho Asiana Golf Club, a resort integrating hotel and golf facilities, in Weihai. Asiana Airlines also operates flights between Weihai and Seoul (Incheon) as well as Busan, with the Seoul route operating 7 flights per week and the Busan route 4 flights per week.
