Tianying Palace is a cultural landmark built based on the legends of auspicious folk deities in Chinese culture. Major attractions include: the Main Hall – the Three-Star Tower (representing Fortune, Prosperity, and Longevity), the God of Wealth Hall, and the God of Happiness Hall. Side Halls: the Matchmaker God (deity of marriage), the Male Plowing Female Weaving (folk deity of love), the Giver of Wealth and Salvation, Zhao Gongming (the Martial God of Wealth), Guan Yu (the Loyal and Righteous God of Wealth). Fortune, Prosperity, Longevity, Happiness, and Wealth are auspicious symbols in Chinese folk culture. Fortune stands for happiness, harmony, and boundless blessings; Prosperity represents career success, academic achievement, and high-ranking positions; Longevity means health, safety, and a long life; Happiness signifies good luck, joy, and continuous blessings; Wealth refers to money, abundance, and flourishing finances. The Gods of Fortune, Prosperity, Longevity, Happiness, and Wealth are believed to bestow people with blessings, happiness, peace, abundance, and “universal good fortune and shared blessings,” fulfilling the beautiful hopes of worshippers and ensuring that the devout receive what they pray for, enjoying a joyful life. In addition, the Pagoda Forest is also one of its famous attractions.

Vega is also known as “Tiansun,” meaning the granddaughter of the Heavenly Emperor. It consists of three stars forming a prism shape, located on the western side of the Milky Way, opposite Altair on the eastern side. Vega is regarded as the folk deity of free love. As early as the Spring and Autumn period, the Book of Songs recorded the stars of Altair and Vega. The story of “The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl” ranks first among China’s four great ancient love legends. It expresses people’s longing and pursuit of faithful love and a beautiful life. The seventh day of the seventh lunar month is when the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl meet on the Magpie Bridge, and there is a widespread folk custom of “Qiqiao” or “Begging for Dexterity.” Related to “Begging for Dexterity,” people also pray to the Weaver Girl for wisdom, wealth, beauty, and a good marriage. The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl also represent the epitome of faithful love.
