Tanggangzi Thermal Mineral Mud

In Tanggangzi, Qianshan District, Anshan City, there is the largest natural thermal mineral mud area in China, measuring 110 meters in length and about 100 meters in width. The mineral mud is a product of granite weathering under prolonged hydrogeological conditions. Its heat comes from being soaked and nourished by the 72°C hot spring water beneath it, and is unaffected by air temperature. It is particularly effective in treating certain diseases, especially showing notable efficacy for rheumatoid and rheumatic arthritis, pain relief, and relieving muscle spasms.
