Former Site of Rentai Foreign Firm

The former site of Rentai Foreign Firm is a cultural relic protection unit of Liaoning Province.

The former site of Rentai Foreign Firm is located in Zhanqian Community, Zhanqian District. Also known as the Russian Foreign Firm, according to the book *The Development History of Japanese in Yingkou*: “This building was originally an oil mill. It was completed in October 1921.” It was rebuilt after the 1975 earthquake but still retains its Russian architectural style. The structure faces south, sits on a tiger-head stone foundation, has a gable roof, features a solid front facade, and is designed in the style of an official residence. It covers a construction area of 700 square meters and stands 9 meters high. In 2003, it was rebuilt on the original site, but the original cultural relic structure has since disappeared.

In 1998, the Yingkou Municipal People's Government (Ying Zheng Ban Fa [1998] No. 20) designated the former site of Rentai Foreign Firm as a municipal-level cultural relic protection unit. The published scope of protection and construction control zone included: within 5 meters outside the surrounding walls of the site as the protected area; beyond the protected area, extending south to the centerline of Liahe Avenue, west to Yingkou Hotel, and 50 meters east and north respectively as a Category II construction control zone.
