Taiwan’s second TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE, the Songshan Station Front Store, officially opened on November 24. Covering 84.4 pyeong, the store greets you with wooden furniture and shelves full of books, while the rich aroma of its private brand coffee wafts through the air. This opening also introduced many exclusive, first-time-in-Taiwan products from the Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore in Japan.TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Songshan Station Front Branch is a collaboration between Ruentex Group and Japan’s CCC Group under a franchise model. Five more stores will open in the future, including the CITYLINK Neihu and Nangang branches set to launch next year, which will both feature TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE.

TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Matsuyama Station Front Store, which combines reading and coffee, has WIRED TOKYO on the second floor. This is a Japanese coffee brand operating in a mixed-use format with TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE. In addition to farm-cooperative selected coffee and hot and cold beverages, the store also offers various delicious meals such as Okinawa tuna yuzu pepper rice, Shibuya tonkatsu, and mentaiko pasta.

The Cod Roe House’s mentaiko cream pasta features mentaiko (spicy cod roe), which is especially loved by Japanese people, and pairs perfectly with the secret sauce and the unique mildly spicy flavor of premium Fukuoka mentaiko. It also includes seaweed, sesame, and crispy anchovies to present a Japanese-style dish from Tokyo. WIRED’s signature taco rice originates from Okinawa and combines ground beef, vegetables, cheese, and white rice.
