The Taiwanese tonkatsu market is becoming increasingly competitive. With 11 years of history, Shengbo Hall is actively attracting customers. Its Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Station Front Branch has just completed a full renovation and simultaneously launched a Spanish Iberian black pork set meal, available in limited daily supply (within 10 portions). There are two types of set meals: one is the Iberian black pork cutlet set meal, priced at NT$990, and the other is the Iberian black pork ginger-grilled meat set meal, priced at NT$790.
In addition to the Spanish Iberian black pork set meal, Shengbo Hall also introduced another new highlight tonkatsu flavor in June: the "Golden Ultra-Rich Snowflake Cheese Cutlet." This is a cutlet that blends milky, savory, crispy, and oozy cheese flavors, using layers of thinly sliced pork tenderloin wrapped around Gouda cheese, Parmesan cheese, and Cheddar cheese, along with crispy bacon, then breaded and deep-fried, and finally sprinkled with freshly shaved Parmigiano-Reggiano. The most unique element is the Parmigiano-Reggiano (Padano Cheese), which is more valuable than Parmesan cheese because Padano cheese must be air-dried and aged for over fifteen months.
