Add Luck’s Xinyi Branch was complained about for allegedly charging a service fee for takeaway. In response to customer dissatisfaction, Add Luck issued a public statement clarifying that the Xinyi Branch currently only provides takeaway packaging for dine-in meals. The company deeply regrets that on-site staff did not fulfill their duty to explain clearly and will continue to strengthen staff training to prevent such misunderstandings in the future. As for takeaway services, the Xinyi Branch is expected to begin offering them on March 16.

Add Luck has two branches in Taiwan, namely the Station Front Branch and the Xinyi Branch, as well as a Station Front takeaway store. Currently, only the Station Front takeaway store offers takeaway services, while the Xinyi Branch’s takeaway service will commence on March 16. After that, no 10% service charge will be applied to takeaway orders. Regarding expansion, the next new branch will be located in a department store in Taichung, though the specific location has not yet been disclosed.

1. Regarding today’s media reports about Add Luck’s Xinyi Branch charging service fees, the following clarification is provided:
First, we deeply apologize for any dissatisfaction experienced by the customer. Since the Xinyi Branch currently only provides takeaway packaging for dine-in meals, the on-site staff failed to properly explain this, and we apologize again. We will continue to enhance staff training to avoid any misunderstanding among customers in the future.

2. The Station Front Branch has a dedicated takeaway service. Customers with such needs are welcome to visit the Station Front Branch.

3. The Xinyi Branch will start providing takeaway services on March 16, and no service fee will be charged once the takeaway service begins.
