Former Site of Yingkou East Chamber of Commerce

The former site of the Yingkou East Chamber of Commerce is a cultural relic protection unit of Yingkou City.

The former site of the Yingkou East Chamber of Commerce is located at No. 6–1 Zhongxing Li, Sanlou Community, Batiandi Subdistrict Office, Zhanqian District. To its north is Liaohe Street, to the west is the office building of the Democratic Parties of the Yingkou Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), to the south is the Yingkou Public Security Bureau, and to the east is the office building of the Yingkou Municipal CPPCC.

This building is a two-story structure built with blue bricks on a bluestone foundation, featuring a hip-and-valley tiled roof and arched wooden doors and windows. There are staircases on both the east and west sides leading to the second floor. It covers an area of approximately 300 square meters. According to historical records, the building was constructed before 1908 as the office of the Yingkou East Chamber of Commerce (i.e., the modern-era business association on Yingkou’s East Street). Shortly after the establishment of the Yingkou Red Cross in the spring of 1927, the building was purchased by the organization and used as its office space.
