Henhegou Provincial Forest Park is located 11 kilometers southeast of Hanling Town, Liaoyang County, on the extension of the Changbai Mountains in Northeast China. The current total area of the scenic zone is 7.97 square kilometers, with 23 square kilometers available for development. The area enjoys convenient transportation, bordering Benxi to the east and Gongchangling to the west, and is just over 50 kilometers from downtown Liaoyang. It has a continental monsoon climate, featuring blooming flowers in spring, murmuring streams in summer, vibrant red leaves in autumn, and snow-covered landscapes in winter—each season distinct and charming. The unique landforms, shaped by nature’s artistry, form today’s Henhe Grand Canyon.

The Henhegou Scenic Area boasts dense vegetation, abundant resources, and extraordinary natural scenery. With deep valleys, rugged rocks, murmuring streams, and cascading waterfalls, it serves as an ideal leisure and holiday destination.

The Henhegou Scenic Area is renowned for its picturesque beauty—every hill is graceful, every valley is profound, every rock is adorned with pine trees, and every patch of earth bursts with flowers. The Henhegou Scenic Area features overlapping ridges and layered mountains, comprising three main zones: Huolonggou, Xidagou, and Huaxigou. The area is characterized by steep peaks and sharp slopes, with the highest elevation reaching 806.8 meters. It is home to abundant flora and fauna as well as stunning natural landscapes. Natural wonders such as Dream Pen Peak, Twin Lion Rock, Clear Springs, Broken Bridge, Waterfalls, Guest-Greeting Pines, Sister Pines, and Pigeon Cave are all uniquely beautiful. The scenery varies with the seasons, earning it the reputation of a “Ten-Mile Gallery.” Visitors can immerse themselves in its primitive and rustic charm, feeling as if wandering through a living painting. The Tian Nü Magnolia, which blooms in June, is a rare plant species left from the Ice Age. Its pure white blossoms dot the green mountains and forests, emitting a faint fragrance that captivates all who see them.
