In the late Southern Song Dynasty, after the fall of Lin’an, he served as a Zhaowu School Officer in the Imperial Guards under the Hall Front Command. Alongside Lu Xiufu, Wen Tianxiang, and others, he supported the Song emperor in fleeing to Jiazi Gate, where they stationed their troops at Daibu Mountain. There, they received aid from Fan Liangchen, a local scholar-official, Zheng Fuweng, the leader of a volunteer army, and local residents who supplied provisions and rested the imperial forces. In 1279, when the Yuan army launched a massive southern offensive, the Song army was forced to retreat to Yamen. He remained in Jiazi to recuperate but passed away upon hearing of the Song’s demise. Later, the people of Jiazi buried him with full honors here. The tomb is constructed with lime-soil in a “triple-arch triple-swing hill-hand” style, featuring structures such as an altar, shrine hall, and ceremonial courtyard, covering a total area of 1,200 square meters.
