This day only！Yilan’s “Green Expo” offers free entry to all Taiwanese workers
The “2017 Yilan Green Expo” is being held for the first time at the Dongshan River Eco Park, comprising two areas: the Eco Park itself and the area around Dongshan Railway Station. As next week marks Labor Day, the Yilan County Government has announced that on May 1st, all workers across Taiwan can enter the Eco Park for free in appreciation of their hard work.

Bangkok-Hualien direct charter flights from July 2nd now operated by Thai Oriental Airlines Boeing 767
Hualien will launch direct flights to Bangkok, Thailand starting July 2nd this year. Originally scheduled to be operated by VietJet Air, local tourism operators in Hualien have rearranged the schedule, and the flights will now be operated by the larger Thai Oriental Airlines Boeing 767 aircraft. The seating capacity has been increased from the originally planned 180 seats on VietJet Air to 260 seats on the Thai Oriental Airlines Boeing 767. A total of 12 flights will operate between July 2nd and August 19th.

I’ve visited this Butou Shokudo sukiyaki specialty store (Kōeki branch) twice now – I love their broth. Normally, with sukiyaki, I’m afraid the seasoning is too heavy and it gets super greasy if I eat too much, but not here. It’s richly sweet with a subtle salty aroma, and you can eat as much as you want without feeling heavy or bloated. Plus, it’s very refreshing. For someone like me who’s determined to stuff themselves silly with meat, a clean and non-greasy broth keeps my eating stamina going longer.
