The 2017 Taipei International Tourism Expo kicks off on May 5 and runs for three days. Various hotels are offering diverse accommodation deals, with discounts as low as 1.9 times off, saving you thousands on the spot. With summer vacation approaching, many also provide family room discounts and complimentary upgrades for summer stays—perfect for parents looking to take their kids on a domestic holiday.

Formosa Regent Taipei

Formosa Regent Taipei’s brand-new product this year is the “Joint Accommodation Voucher Set,” which challenges the lowest discount available—buy more, stay longer, and save more. Each voucher is NT$2,699 (only sold in sets, not individually), buy 10 get 1 free, averaging NT$2,454 per voucher. Just one voucher lets you choose to stay one night at any of Formosa Regent’s nine branches, two vouchers let you stay at six of its premium leisure resorts, and three vouchers are best for a three-day-two-night trip, averaging just NT$3,681 per night.

Taipei Marriott Hotel

Includes a Taipei Marriott 2-day-1-night stay voucher for NT$4,200, which covers one night in a standard single/double room, two self-service breakfasts, access to leisure facilities such as the swimming pool and gym, plus a bonus [two servings of thin-crust afternoon tea].

The Westin Tashee, Taoyuan Daxi

The Hi Fun One Night Two Meals Five Perks voucher includes one night in a deluxe room, two servings of gourmet breakfast + two servings of gourmet buffet dinner, two welcome drinks, one Kids Club selected course or a gift, free Mini Bar in-room, scheduled high-speed rail free shuttle from Taoyuan Station, and weekend/holiday Happy Hour with free drinks for two at the Poolside Bar. Discounted price starts from NT$6,800.

Dynasty Hotel

Originally priced over NT$10,000, the deluxe room is only NT$2,999 during the expo (including service charge), plus two self-service breakfasts. Buy five vouchers and get an upgrade voucher for a newly renovated deluxe room, buy ten and get an additional upgrade voucher for an executive suite. Vouchers are discounted to 2.2 times off.

Lai Lai Hotel, Taichung

For special accommodation vouchers: Buy one get two deluxe double stay package—stay three nights in a deluxe or metro room for two people for NT$13,197, averaging NT$4,399 per room per night. Also available: Buy one get two 3-in-1 stay packages, three vouchers for NT$20,997, each lets you stay one night in a 16㎡ Parent-Kid Premium Room, a 22㎡ Opera Double (Large) Suite, or a 19㎡ Le Lin Double (Large) Suite, averaging NT$6,999 per room per night. Buy two or more 3-in-1 packages at the expo and get a complimentary premium travel amenity kit (choose between L'Occitane or PENHALIGON'S). Limit five packages per person.

Victoria Hotel

“Fashionable Light Travel”—Weekend 3-day-2-night deluxe room double stay voucher at 36% off, just NT$8,888. “Italian Afternoon Tea Feast”—Weekend 2-day-1-night stay voucher, plus Italian afternoon tea, just NT$4,999. Spend over NT$10,000 on meal vouchers and get a NT$3,888 add-on for a “Weekend Holiday 1-night-1-meal double stay voucher” (one per NT$10,000 spent, up to limit), limited to 30 per day.

Terra Hotel

Buy 5 stay vouchers, get 1 free. “1-night-1-meal” averages NT$7,333 per voucher, “1-night-2-meals” averages NT$8,250 per voucher. Use a “1-night-1-meal” voucher before September 30, 2017, and get a complimentary couple’s afternoon tea set (original price NT$980 + 10%).

Heaven Lake Resort Hotel, Yangmingshan

The “Couples Holiday Stay Voucher” lets you stay in a Grass Mountain double room on weekdays, including two gourmet breakfasts, choose either English afternoon tea or chef’s beef noodle set, unlimited access to resort facilities, and upgrade the 3rd and 4th guests to a Grass Mountain quad room originally priced at NT$9,500. The “Cozy Holiday Stay Voucher” lets you stay in a Grass Mountain quad room and includes four gourmet lunches, four next-day breakfasts, access to the thousand-square-meter spa, and indoor/outdoor leisure facilities.

EDA Royal Hotel, Tian Yue Hotel

The ‘Travel Fun’ stay voucher for a double deluxe room with two breakfasts is just NT$4,500 on weekdays. The ‘Fun Nonstop’ voucher for NT$5,888 lets you stay in a double deluxe room and choose between theme park fun or five-star dining. EDA Tian Yue Hotel offers the ‘Tian Yue Leisure Travel’ voucher for a cozy family room with two breakfasts for just NT$3,600 on weekdays, and the ‘EDA Cheer Travel’ voucher for NT$4,800 lets you stay in a cozy family room and choose between theme park fun or buffet dining.

Lai Shin Management

Lai Shin Management combines hotels under its brand—Eastern Sun Mountain Forest Resort, Eastern Sun Ocean Hot Spring Hotel, Alishan Guesthouse, and Fuli Hot Spring Hotel—to offer a joint accommodation voucher. Each voucher is NT$2,800, buy 10 get 1 free, averaging just NT$2,545. One voucher lets two people stay one night at Eastern Sun Mountain Forest with two breakfasts and two family game vouchers. Two vouchers let you stay at Eastern Sun Ocean (with two breakfasts) and get two whale-watching cruise tickets to Guishan Island, or choose a relaxing couples’ trip at Fuli Hot Spring Hotel in Sun Moon Lake.
