Meigong Ling Pagoda
Meigong Ling Pagoda is a cultural relic protection unit of Liaoning Province.
Meigong Ling Pagoda is located on the east side of the highway south of Shenjing Town, Jianping County. Traveling north along the highway leads to the old county seat of Jianping County—Jianping Town, locally referred to as Old Jianping. The county seat of Jianping County was relocated in 1954 to Yebaishou Town in the southern part of the county, which is 70 kilometers away from Jianping Town. Ten kilometers north of Old Jianping lies a village named Huizhou, the site of the Huizhou and Huihe counties during the Liao Dynasty. According to archaeological excavations, there are tower foundations to the north of the Huizhou city ruins, believed to be the remains of an ancient pagoda from the Liao and Jin periods. The pagoda in Huizhou city no longer exists, and today, Meigong Ling Pagoda is the only ancient pagoda remaining within Jianping County.
