Oriental Gandil Mongolian Folk Culture Park is located 3 kilometers along Zhaojun Road in Yuquan District, Hohhot City, covering an area of 10,000 mu. It integrates elements of Mongolian history, military culture, court culture, folk culture, traditional culture, and religious culture. The first phase of construction includes: the Khan Palace Hotel, Mongolian Avenue, Genghis Khan Square, Genghis Khan Memorial Hall, Horse Culture Museum, Mongolian Khan Camp, Sulede Jige, Educated Youth Park, Tengger Oboo, horse racing field, bonfire platform, artificial lake, China Space Platform, Grassland Hots, Fishing Village, parking lot, and more.

The Mongolian Folk Culture Park has recently been rated as a AAA-level tourist attraction by the National Tourism Administration. It is a key construction project under the Western Development Strategy of Inner Mongolia and Hohhot City. The park is a large-scale tourist destination invested in by the Ordos Oriental Road & Bridge Group, with a total investment of 450 million RMB. Among its highlights is the Horse Culture Museum, whose architecture is shaped like the Chinese character “马” (horse) in uppercase. The design concept is inspired by traditional large-scale horse stables. Over centuries of interaction with horses, Mongolians regard them as magical animals and close companions in life, giving rise to a rich “Horse Culture.” This “Horse Culture” is at the heart of grassland culture and a vivid history of the Mongolian people. The Horse Culture Museum connects the horse to nomadic peoples and uses the horse to narrate the story of grassland civilization. With abundant exhibits, over 300 cultural relics, and unique displays, it vividly illustrates the profound essence of horse culture and introduces the millennia-long history of the horseback peoples in an accessible way.

The first phase of the Mongolian Folk Culture Park construction includes: the Khan Palace Hotel (built to four-star standards), Mongolian Avenue, Genghis Khan Square, Genghis Khan Memorial Hall, Horse Culture Museum, Mongolian Khan Camp, Sulede Cluster, Baiyun Tala, Xiaozhao Temple, Prince’s Mansion, Educated Youth Park, Tengger Oboo, horse racing field, bonfire platform, artificial lake, Visitor Service Center, Shopping Center, Tourist Transportation Service Center, Grassland Shenzhou Space Platform, Grassland Hots, Grassland Fishing Village, Eco-friendly Parking Lot, Gandil Grassland, and other scenic spots and functional areas.
