Dashengkui Cultural and Creative Industry Park

Dashengkui Cultural and Creative Industry Park is the first cultural and creative industry park in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Hohhot City. In March 2006, the Yuquan District proposed the idea of building the Dashengkui Cultural Industry Park. Subsequently, with strong support from the municipal Party committee and government, preliminary investment and project approval were initiated. Starting from 2006, the Hohhot Municipal Government has invested between 20 million and 30 million yuan annually to support the construction of the Dashengkui Cultural and Creative Industry Park. To date, the restoration of the northern block’s historical site and the construction of the film and television base within the Dashengkui Cultural and Creative Industry Park project have been completed. The Dashengkui Garden has been launched and is now operating. It has been merged with the Da Zhao Cultural Industry Zone and was named by the autonomous region as the Da Zhao Cultural Industry Cluster, a Demonstration Base of Cultural Industries in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The Dashengkui Garden has also been awarded the title of “China Intangible Cultural Heritage Exchange Demonstration Base” by the Intangible Cultural Heritage Exchange Center of the China Rural Art Association. The documentary “Dashengkui” traveled to New Zealand to participate in international documentary exchange activities and was named one of the “Top Ten National Documentaries of 2009” by the China National Radio and Television Association.
