The hill behind the gas station is Aobao Mountain, which was also one of the Japanese army's underground fortifications during that time. However, it remains undeveloped, and inexperienced individuals should not enter without permission.

The site of the Hailar Mass Grave is now located within the territory of Chen Barga Banner. It was a large pit dug by the Japanese to bury Chinese laborers who died of starvation, exhaustion, disease, or were killed while constructing the Hailar Fortress.

When the construction of the Hailar Fortress was completed, the Japanese still did not spare these laborers. They were shot and buried alive in batches. The actual number of victims exceeded ten thousand. To this day, a large number of laborers' bones and teeth can still be seen on the ground, a truly horrifying sight.

Although all of this is now in the past, the shadow that war has cast over the hearts of hundreds of millions of Chinese people will remain forever. This is strongly evidenced by the many patriotic visitors who come here every year.
