On April 22, 2014, World Earth Day, the launch ceremony of the “Vibrant Inner Mongolia, Ride Across Ten Thousand Miles” event, initiated by cycling enthusiast Bao Yinhu, was held at Xinhua Square in Hohhot. Nearly 200 cycling enthusiasts attended, with German outdoor brand VAUDE sponsoring the event.
It is understood that for this cycling event, Bao Yinhu will ride solo for 14,000 kilometers across the entire Inner Mongolia region, with the entire journey spanning six months. Along the way, the project will conduct large-scale environmental protection and public welfare campaigns in 12 major and medium-sized cities in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region (Hohhot, Baotou, Wuhai, Chifeng, Tongliao, Dongsheng, Hailar, Wuhai, Jining, Ulanhot, Xilinhot, Erenhot). To expand the influence of the event, one hundred schools will promote the project, and local cycling teams and cycling enthusiasts in each city will join Bao Yinhu for relay rides.
