Saihan Tala

Saihan Tala is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a cultural tourism site.

Over the green plains of the hotspring, there are more than 30 Mongolian yurts of various sizes, scattered and clustered, adorning the landscape. The tall yurts, the sacred Mani stones, the simple yet unpretentious horse racing field, archery range, wrestling arena, beacon tower, along with the grazing cattle, horses, camels, sheep, deer, and pastures nearby, create a scene that returns to simplicity and nature, full of distinctive grassland charm.

Saihan Tala Hotspring embodies a rich cultural essence of Mongolian cuisine, traditional dress, entertainment, ethnic song and dance, grassland weddings, and ceremonial hospitality. It enjoys convenient transportation in all directions. This truly is a unique tourist destination on the urban prairie.

The Saihan Tala Tourism and Entertainment Resort Village has built 36 yurts with 90 beds. More than 50 activity yurts of various sizes are available in the surrounding woods and grasslands for tourists’ temporary rest and recreation. Located between Donghe District and Qingshan District of Baotou City, it is a modern grassland tourist site with a distinctive Mongolian style, integrating dining, accommodation, entertainment, and shopping. Here, the green grass is lush and wildflowers bloom profusely, presenting a true grassland scene.

Activities include Oboo worship, riding a wooden cart (Lelé car), camel riding, archery, wrestling, bonfire parties, and ethnic song and dance performances. Facilities such as a horse racing field, karaoke hall, theater, and yurt restaurant are available, offering ethnic delicacies like milk tea, fried rice, hand-pulled meat, roasted lamb leg, and Mongolian barbecue.
