As early as the start of 2015, the first wave of Taiwan mountain cherry blossoms across Taiwan this year have already fully bloomed in front of the Ministry of Justice’s Bureau of Integrity and Ethics Training Center in Dalin, Pingsi District, while those in the mountainous area along Qingshan Road in Shipi District have also bloomed by about 20%.This year, the Agriculture Bureau will pilot a nighttime cherry blossom viewing event in Wulai District, allowing the public to experience the unique beauty of cherry blossoms at night.

This year, due to weather influences, the flowering period of the Taiwan mountain cherry blossoms is different from previous years. It is currently estimated that by the end of January, the cherry blossoms in Wulai Warrior Square and Shiding Ergui Trail will be in full bloom, followed by those along Shipi Dahu Road, the mountain cherry and yaezakura at Linkou Zhulin Mountain Guanyin Temple expected to bloom in February, and in March, the Yoshino cherry blossoms at Tamsui Tianyuan Temple, Shipi Sansheng Trail, and the Hope River in Tucheng will be at their most beautiful.
