The blooming period in Taimali lasts until early March, with golden needle flowers being the prime highlight for cherry blossom viewing. At an altitude of over 1,000 meters, Jinhua Mountain in Taitung County’s Taimali has over a dozen hectares of yaezakura and mountain cherries that are blooming one after another, standing out vividly against the lush green mountains. Visitors are advised to make the trip during the peak blooming period. The small pink flowers adorn the misty mountain slopes in the afternoon, creating a scene of falling petals that captures the true essence of “viewing flowers through the mist.”
