The Wanshuiquan Reclamation · Corps Culture Exhibition Hall is located at the Wanquanjiayuan Community Service Center in the Rare Earth High-Tech Zone, covering an area of 122.54 square meters. It was officially completed in 2012. The exhibition layout is divided into five major sections: “Years of the Corps,” “Red Flag Spirit,” “Communist Youth League Legacy,” “Glory of Reclamation,” and “Prospects for the New Area.” It uses old photographs, physical exhibits, and other forms, primarily featuring images and text supplemented by artifacts, vividly and intuitively portraying the administrative changes and historical evolution that once took place in the Wanshuiquan area.

Over the course of half a century, from the Communist Youth League Farm to the Reclamation Group, from the 18th Regiment of the Second Division of the Inner Mongolia Production and Construction Corps to the Red Flag Farm, united soldiers of the corps, demobilized officers, educated youths, local farmers, migrant workers, government-assigned cadres, and professional technicians carried forward the spirit of loving the motherland, selfless dedication, hard pioneering, and enterprising development—both the Corps spirit and the spirit of reclamation. They transformed hundreds of thousands of acres of wasteland into the most important production and supply base for non-staple food in Baotou. At the same time, the farm builders established their own schools, hospitals, kindergartens, transportation, communications, armed security, civil affairs, and other public welfare services within the area, while also vigorously developing farm-run industrial and sideline businesses.

The history of Wanshuiquan Reclamation · Corps is a story of arduous pioneering in borderland settlement, a chronicle of relentless effort in continuous development, and also a testament to selfless dedication. The exhibition hall aims to better preserve and organize the developmental history of the Wanshuiquan area. The town of Wanshuiquan has organized multiple visits for veteran corps members to the Reclamation Corps Culture Exhibition Hall, gathering their opinions and suggestions so that the exhibition can truly reflect the development journey of the Wanshuiquan area in those years and carry forward the unique cultural spirits of the two farms—the culture of reclamation and the spirit of the Corps.
