Baotou Revolutionary Cemetery is a patriotic education base.

Baotou Revolutionary Cemetery is located in Zhuanglongzang, Donghe District. It was established in 1973 with the approval of the then Baotou Revolutionary Committee, through the renovation and utilization of the "Longquan Temple" built during the Qing Dynasty's Daoguang era (1859) in Zhuanglongzang, Donghe District. It was mainly constructed to commemorate the martyrs who heroically sacrificed their lives during the two assaults on Baotou by the People's Liberation Army in November 1945 and April 1948, and serves as a municipal-level patriotic education base in Baotou. The cemetery covers an area of 4,500 square meters, with a building area of 1,085 square meters and a usable area of 924 square meters. Since its establishment, it has honored the heroic deeds of 125 martyrs. Among them are 99 martyrs (including both unnamed and named martyrs) who sacrificed their lives in the 1945 Sui-Bao Campaign and the Korean War in the fight to liberate Baotou. In addition, there are 26 martyrs who gave their precious lives in various industries after the liberation for the interests of the country and the people. Over the years, the cemetery has provided free access to over 1.5 million visitors, including party and government agencies, enterprises and institutions, members of the public, youths, and families paying respects from across the city, fully fulfilling its role as a patriotic education base.
