Tongsha Ecological Park

Tongsha Ecological Park is located beside National Highway 107 in the southern part of Dongcheng District, with a planned area of 40.2 square kilometers. It is scheduled to be developed in four phases, and the planned construction includes a wetland park, a youth activity center, a rare plant conservation area, holiday resorts, a botanical garden water recreation zone, a camping area, and more.

Within Tongsha Ecological Park, there are over 30 square kilometers of mountain forests and 562.47 hectares of water surface. To its north lies the main urban area, to the northwest the new urban center district, and to the south Dalingshan Town and the Songshan Lake Science and Technology Industrial Park. According to the “trinity” urban layout of the new urban district, Tongsha Ecological Park, and Songshan Lake, Tongsha Ecological Park and Huangqi Mountain Urban Park will together serve as the “green lungs” of Dongguan’s major city center. Fei’eling, Huanggongshan, and Wufenglou are the highest peaks in the ecological park, offering a view that makes “all other mountains seem small.” The three mountains vary in terrain, encircling Tongsha Reservoir, with emerald waters winding around verdant, densely forested, undulating peaks. The mountains are dotted with lush orchards, their shadows swaying and fruits fragrant. Tongsha Reservoir is surrounded by greenery, its surface calm as a mirror, with beautiful bays stretching continuously and charming small islands in the lake, resembling a paradise on earth. The lakeside road winds through secluded paths, flanked by swaying bamboo shadows and rustling bamboo groves when the wind rises. The reflections of tree-covered peaks ripple beneath the lake surface, with shimmering waves, misty rains, and vibrant greens creating a flowing scene. The harmonious blend of lake and mountain scenery forms a rare earthly paradise. According to the plan, the ecological park will also feature recreational facilities such as jet skis, parasailing, and horseback riding fields, making it an ideal destination for travel, leisure, entertainment, and vacation.

Free admission. The park is free for visitors, but a fee of 3 RMB per vehicle is charged for those driving into the scenic area.
