On August 15, the 2018 Autumn Tourism New Product Launch of Dongguan Hidden Sage Valley and the opening ceremony of the “2018 Hidden Sage Valley International Flower & Lantern Art Festival” were grandly held in the Sage Hall of the Hidden Sage Valley Hotel. The event attracted over 300 industry elites from travel agencies, distributors, and other sectors, as well as dozens of news media outlets, all gathered to witness the launch of Hidden Sage Valley’s latest tourism products and the lighting ceremony of the “2018 Hidden Sage Valley International Flower & Lantern Art Festival.”

The new product launch mainly focused on the “2018 Hidden Sage Valley International Flower & Lantern Art Festival,” while also introducing the upcoming openings of new attractions in the second half of the year, including the Honey Garden, Peacock Valley, Dinosaur Valley, and Caribbean Food Street. It also previewed upcoming holiday events such as Mid-Autumn Festival, National Day, Halloween, and Christmas, along with the presentation of the latest recommended bundled products for partners.

Attendees included partners who have collaborated with the scenic area for over a decade, as well as newly joined distributors; there were travel agencies from Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Dongguan, and Huizhou, as well as industry elites who traveled from Shanwei and Hong Kong. All showed strong interest in Hidden Sage Valley’s tourism products, noting that while these offerings prioritize visitor experience and service quality, they also effectively address sales challenges for channel partners—truly achieving a win-win situation for visitors, channel partners, and the scenic area.

After the new product launch, all attendees witnessed the official start of the lighting ceremony for the “2018 Hidden Sage Valley International Flower & Lantern Art Festival.”

This lantern festival brought the renowned Zigong Lantern Show, known as the “No.1 Lantern Show in the World,” to Hidden Sage Valley. Through an organic combination of form, sound, color, light, and motion, it created a spectacular world of illuminated mountains and seas, crystal palaces, and sparkling fireworks. Tailored to the varying elevations, cultural characteristics, and visual artistic effects of different scenic spots within the valley, a uniquely charming lantern show was designed. By blending traditional lantern art with modern technology and using abstract, fashionable, and distinctive artistic expressions, the beauty of Hidden Sage Valley—where landscapes complement each other, the scenery is picturesque, and the environment is serene and refined—was showcased vividly. In terms of spatial layout, the lantern displays were divided into four major sections: land-based lanterns, aerial lanterns, and water-based lanterns. With traditional Chinese culture as the main theme, the display combined sightseeing, amusement, and interaction, reflecting people's pursuit of happiness, society's pursuit of harmony, and the nation's pursuit of prosperity.

At the lighting ceremony, amid the countdown from the crowd, scenic area leaders and industry representatives jointly pushed the lighting lever, instantly illuminating the entire venue. This symbolized Hidden Sage Valley once again shining with a brand-new image in Dongguan’s tourism industry and leading a new highlight in Guangdong’s tourism sector.
