Golden Bay Park is located in the new urban area of Shilong, stretching along the river from Dong’an Bridge to South Second Bridge. It is 2,200 meters long and covers a total area of 200,000 square meters. The park features promenades and pavilions atop the embankment; flowers and fountains on the slopes; as well as lawns, plazas, and rows of classic-style benches at the base. Willow trees sway gently along the banks. Especially during spring when flowers are in full bloom, Golden Bay is covered in vibrant blossoms, colorful foliage, lush coconut groves, and green willows against red embankments. When night falls and lights illuminate the area, colorful fountains dance on the shimmering river surface, while stars, moonlight, and city lights blend together in a picturesque scene, forming part of Shilong’s “Dongjiang River Gallery” with its one river and three towns. A 100-meter-long large relief sculpture titled “Ancient Town of Shilong” brings the image of this historic town vividly to life along the Dongjiang River. With its innovative design, natural atmosphere, and subtropical charm, Golden Bay Park has become a popular spot for leisure, morning exercises, entertainment, and enjoying the blue sky, clear waters, and golden sandy beaches—earning high praise from visitors. Every year, the Spring Festival fireworks show and dragon boat races are held in the Golden Bay scenic area, attracting over 200,000 visitors from the local area and surrounding regions.
