Located in the northeastern part of Xiegang, Li Village Yashan Park is another scenic spot in the town. The Yashan Mountain runs from east to west, stretching about 3 kilometers in length and reaching nearly 200 meters in elevation. The southern foothills of the mountain border the bustling Huizhang Highway, while the northern side is traversed by the meandering Guangmei-Shantou Railway. Dominating the southern shore of Tonghu Lake, Yashan boasts beautiful scenery with dense forests, flowing streams in deep valleys, gurgling springs, birdsong, and floral fragrance. From the mountaintop, one can enjoy the picturesque rural landscape of the southern region. Chen Botao, a top imperial scholar of the Qing Dynasty, recorded in his "Dongguan County Annals": “The mountain hosts the Tanxian Temple, behind which is a cliff inscribed with the four characters ‘Flying Clouds and Rainfall Waterfalls.’ To the left is the ‘Dragon’s Saliva Spring,’ and below is the ‘Nine Dragons’ Spiritual Spring,’ which flows ceaselessly all day, its origin unclear. To the north lies Tonghu Lake, offering particularly splendid scenery.” This describes the landscape of Yashan. Legend has it that there was a boy named Tan De from Li Village who was intelligent, kind-hearted, and innocent from a young age. While herding on Yashan, he encountered immortals and attained enlightenment. Later generations built a temple and erected a statue on Yashan in his honor. On the sheer cliff behind the Tanxian Temple is the cliff engraving “Flying Clouds and Rainfall Waterfalls,” with the Dragon’s Saliva Spring located just beneath the cliff within the temple. Near the Mid-mountain Pavilion, there is also an engraving reading “Nine Dragons’ Spiritual Spring.” Springs still flow from beneath the cliff to this day, forming small pools that serve as a paradise for tiny fish and shrimp. Both cliff engravings are bold and vigorous in style, with powerful and elegant brushwork, both signed by “Han Daoist.” They are municipal-level cultural relics protection units. It is believed that Han Daoist, witnessing the cascading waterfalls and gushing springs, was moved to create these timeless ink masterpieces. His decision not to include a date, however, leaves a mystery for future archaeologists.

Li Village is a large settlement with a population of several thousand. It houses several ancestral halls, among which the well-preserved ones include the Luo Family Ancestral Hall and the Danxuan Ancestral Hall. The Luo Family Ancestral Hall faces south and is situated to the north, featuring a front square with auxiliary halls on both sides. Shaded by ancient trees, it has a rather majestic presence and is the largest and oldest existing ancestral hall in Li Village. The hall once displayed a couplet: “The orthodox lineage of Yuzhang, the ancestral root by the Dongguan waters.” The area also features old residences from the Ming and Qing dynasties, distributed to the left, right, and rear of the Danxuan Ancestral Hall. Over 100 relatively well-preserved houses remain, arranged neatly along narrow lanes paved with granite strips. The walls are built on red sandstone foundations, with smooth blue brick exteriors and gable-and-hip roof walls shaped like pot handles, showcasing a unified architectural style.

Xiegang Town: Located at the easternmost tip of Dongguan City, Xiegang serves as the “eastern gateway” of the city. It borders Huizhou, neighbors Shenzhen, and connects with the four towns of Qingxi, Zhangmutou, Changping, and Qiaotou. The town covers a land area of 103 square kilometers, with mountainous terrain in the south and plains in the north. It enjoys beautiful scenery with clear mountains and rivers. The permanent resident population is 18,000, while the migrant population reaches 82,000.
