Dongguan Sha Tin Yacht Club, a joint venture between Hong Kong investors and the Foreign Economic Cooperation Office of Sha Tin Town, was established in December 1992 and officially opened at the end of 1995. Located on the east bank of the Dongjiang South Branch in Yanggongzhou Village, Sha Tin Town, it covers an area of 41 mu (approximately 28,000 square meters), with about 180,000 square meters of water surface. It is a leisure tourism destination that combines maritime activities, entertainment, dining, and vacation. The club’s facilities include luxury Chinese and Western-style yachts, yacht berths, a Chinese restaurant, a green lawn theater, a resort village, a bar, tennis courts, a horse ranch, a swimming pool, and a barbecue area.
