Lianfeng Agricultural Tourism Area

Lianfeng Agricultural Tourism Area is located in Lianping Village, Dalingshan Town. Officially completed and put into operation in November 2000, it covers an area of 20 hectares and features 6.7 hectares of intelligent large-scale greenhouses. It is the largest soilless cultivation agricultural production base in central-southern and southern China, and has been listed as a model project and a pollution-free vegetable export base exempt from inspection by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Agriculture.

The base employs the most advanced international production equipment available, primarily using soilless cultivation technology to produce pollution-free vegetables and green food. It also includes a science education and training experimental center, an artificial lake, fishing platforms, farmhouses, and a lychee orchard. It is a modern, comprehensive high-tech agricultural base integrating high-tech agricultural development, research on biological genetic engineering, teaching and experimental bases, and tourism.

Lianping Village: Lianping Village is situated to the northwest of the central area of Dalingshan Town, adjacent to Niushan Village in Dongcheng District. The village covers a total area of 7.17 square kilometers, including 1,067 mu of farmland protection zones and 1,900 mu of forested land. It comprises 7 villager groups, with a permanent registered population of 2,880 people and 114 current party members. After the 2008 election, the village’s two committees consist of a total of 8 cadres—8 from the Party branch committee and 3 from the village committee—achieving 100% cross-appointment between the Party branch and the village committee.
