Tongsha Reservoir

Surrounded by peaks such as Huanggong Mountain and Huxing Mountain, Tongsha Reservoir covers an area of 9,800 mu. It is enveloped in lush greenery, with a mirror-like lake surface, continuous beautiful bays, and a charming islet in the center that resembles a paradise on earth.

In addition to activities like jet skiing, parasailing, barbecues, horseback riding, and go-karting, it is a great spot for travel and vacation. The reservoir is located in Tongsha Village, Huangcun, Dongguan, and can be accessed via Guanchang Highway — Lixin — Vehicle Management Office — then turn in. The scenery is expansive, featuring a beach suitable for swimming, barbecue areas, and other entertainment spaces. In summer, you can enjoy the cool breeze, and in winter, admire the sunset and stargaze. With few visitors, it's a place of leisure and tranquility.

The planned total area of the Tongsha Ecotourism Zone is 40.23 square kilometers. It will serve as an urban “green heart” for leisure, vacation, and ecotourism, becoming Dongguan’s 21st-century metropolitan “green core” and a uniquely distinctive ecological and cultural park in the Pearl River Delta region.
