Songshan Lake

Songshan Lake was originally a large natural reservoir situated in Dalingshan Town, Dongguan City. Later, government authorities reorganized the area around the lake by incorporating parts of the adjacent edges of Dalingshan, Liaobu, and Dalang towns that lie close to Songshan Lake, forming a new national-level high-tech industrial development zone.

The planned control area spans 72 square kilometers, encompassing an 8-square-kilometer freshwater lake and 14 square kilometers of ecological green space. It preserves well-maintained, original ecological green areas rich in Lingnan character, with a green coverage rate exceeding 60%. The 8-square-kilometer surface of Songshan Lake is surrounded by rolling hills, with misty waters stretching into the distance. The area has developed three major tourism products: “ecological tourism,” “industrial tourism,” and “technology tourism.” Key attractions include Songhu Misty Rain, Songhu Flower Sea, Zhuangyuan Pen Park, Yuehe Lake Park, Dreamy Hundred Flowers Valley, and Taoyuan Park. It is a National AAAA-level tourist attraction that integrates sightseeing, leisure, vacation, fitness, and entertainment.

Creative Life City is the central hub for overall living amenities in Songshan Lake and serves as the base for the “Dongguan Manufacturing” industrial support center. It houses the “Dongguan Famous Products Direct Sales Center,” showcasing well-known local products including Xu Fu Ji, Sheng Xin, and Huamei.

Songshan Lake has been successively honored as “China’s Most Promising High-Tech Industrial Development Zone,” “National Electronic Information Industry Base,” “Ministry-Provincial-City Joint Pilot Program for National Torch Innovation and Entrepreneurship Park,” “Best Investment Zone for Multinational Corporations,” “Chinese Youth Overseas Students’ Entrepreneurship Base,” and “National High-Tech Entrepreneurship Service Center.”

Take the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Expressway – (exit at Shigu) – Dongguan Avenue – Songshan Lake Avenue – destination.

By Bus:

Take bus routes 1, 3, 5, Dalingshan Public Transport route 12, or city buses 3, K2, or L5A, and get off at 【Songshan Lake Station】.
