The Dreamy Hundred Flowers Valley theme park is located within the national AAAA-level Songshan Lake Scenic Area in Dongguan. With its beautiful environment, it is the most visually appealing floral-themed destination in the Pearl River Delta. Covering a total area of 2,000 acres, the park integrates flower viewing, science education, amusement rides, barbecues, cycling, and other leisure elements. Centered around creating a floral culture, it provides visitors with a low-carbon, dreamy, healthy, eco-friendly, and floral ecological leisure park.

The planning of the theme park takes advantage of the terrain to create a dreamlike floral valley. By utilizing hillsides and mist effects, an ideal and fantastical floral space is formed. Open areas feature ground-level floral displays that create an ocean of flowers, along with a rare exhibit area showcasing new, unique, and special flowers from around the world. There is also a cultural and experiential zone where flowers are developed into products that can be admired, eaten, tasted, played with, or used in bathing. This allows visitors to experience the stories and culture of flowers in multiple ways, further highlighting the park’s theme as the “Ocean of Flowers, Paradise of Health, and World of Love.”

The park has built attractions such as the “Peony Garden” with nearly a million majestic peonies, the romantic and stunning “—”, the colorful “Flower Sea World,” the fluttering butterflies of the “Butterfly Valley,” the dreamlike “Hundred Flowers Valley,” as well as exquisitely crafted garden features like the “Ruyi Flower Gate,” “Dutch Windmill,” “Grand Floral View,” small bridges, and flower boats.

Dongguan’s Dreamy Hundred Flowers Valley Butterfly Ecological Park combines butterfly breeding, butterfly specimen exhibitions, and butterfly anime sculptures. It is another great spot for butterfly viewing and science education. Butterflies are among the most beautiful creatures in nature. When flowers bloom, they flutter about, sipping pollen and nectar, earning them the titles “China’s Beauties” and “Flying Flower Molecules.” Due to specific habits of butterflies, they are most active when temperatures range between 28–38°C, making the best viewing time between 10 AM and 3 PM on sunny days. They are hard to find in winter or after sunset.

The first phase of Dongguan’s Hundred Flowers Valley consists of three greenhouse exhibition areas and seven garden zones. The greenhouses use computer-controlled ventilation, humidification, temperature regulation, and drip irrigation technologies to create optimal environments for various plants. Each greenhouse showcases a variety of unique stone cultures, wood carvings, shade-loving plants, and perennial flowers. The focus is on promoting natural ecology, science education, and the harmony between humans and nature. The seven garden zones include: the Romantic Garden, Hundred Nations Fragrance Garden, Sunflower Love Garden, Tree Nest Home, Flower Joyland, Shangri-La Capital, and Colorful Flower Sea. These areas use flowers as the core element, integrating traditional Chinese culture, global geographical wonders, land art, and famous blooms. With grand scale, rich cultural meaning, diverse artistic expressions, refined landscape designs, and whimsical fairy tale themes, they present a dreamlike floral paradise.

Songhu Ecological Park is located within the Dreamy Hundred Flowers Valley scenic area in Dongguan. It enjoys smooth roads and convenient transportation. The park features rolling hills, lush trees, and fresh air. Strolling along its paths offers a retreat from the hustle and bustle while connecting with nature. The shaded walkways enhance the mountain trail experience, making it a rare “natural oxygen bar.” The park offers recreational facilities and amenities for different needs, including flower sea viewing, DIY barbecues, leisure fishing spots, military training and team-building bases, and business meetings. Leisure activities such as archery, pottery, bamboo rafting, karaoke, multi-function meeting rooms, table tennis, billiards, and mahjong are available, ensuring a memorable visit.
