Former Residence of Li Renzhi

The Former Residence of Li Renzhi is a cultural tourism attraction.

The modern Former Residence of Li Renzhi is located in Hengjiangxia Village, Changping Town, covering an area of approximately 210 square meters. It is an old house built with blue bricks and stone foundations. Constructed during the Qing Dynasty, this residence served as the ancestral home of Li Renzhi and consists of a courtyard and three rooms. The courtyard is enclosed by blue brick walls, and the main gate is situated to the right of the three rooms, facing south. A longan tree is planted on the right side of the open space.

The Former Residence of Li Renzhi faces northeast and is composed of a courtyard and four single-room residential buildings arranged in a row. Each room is 3.7 meters wide and 7 meters deep. The structure is made of brick and wood, with a gable and hip roof. The front wall is finished with exposed brickwork, while the rest is built with mud bricks—locally referred to as "gold-wrapped silver." The first room is more elaborately decorated, featuring wooden carved eave boards, floral and bird-themed murals under the eaves, and lime plaster ornaments on the gable ends. The interior has a glass skylight. In 2004, the residence was restored by relevant departments of Changping Town and is now well-maintained under dedicated management.

In January 2004, the Former Residence of Li Renzhi was designated as a Dongguan Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit by the Dongguan Municipal People's Government.
