Dongguan Youth Activity Center

Officially established in August 2003, it is located at the southern end of the city center square. With a beautiful environment and convenient transportation, it is the largest public welfare off-campus educational institution in Dongguan, fully funded by the municipal government. It is invested by the Dongguan Municipal Government and is currently the largest public welfare off-campus education institution in the city, fully funded by the government, and is affiliated with the Dongguan Education Bureau.

The center building covers an area of over 30,000 square meters, has 9 floors, and was built with an investment of 160 million yuan. It has a construction area of over 33,000 square meters and includes a training and education zone, public service zone, auxiliary function zone, and office zone. There are more than 200 rooms of various sizes, including nearly 100 dedicated training classrooms and over 10,000 square meters of activity space. It is fully equipped with standard training classrooms, multi-functional classrooms, dance studios, music appreciation rooms, practice rooms, recording studios, art rooms, pottery workshops, physical training rooms, table tennis rooms, science labs, and computer rooms. Facilities such as a network center, surveillance, closed-circuit television, multimedia terminals, electronic reading rooms, and a theater are all available. Once officially operational, it can accommodate nearly 4,000 people participating in activities and training simultaneously.

The center adheres to the principles of public welfare, scientific approach, combining popularization with improvement, and development. It guides and organizes off-campus activities for young students across the city, conducts educational training, and promotes the all-round development of young students. It identifies and nurtures outstanding young talents, forms cultural teams, and showcases the achievements of the city’s youth cultural development. It organizes domestic and international cultural exchanges to create a positive environment for the growth of the city’s youth. It also provides public services and conducts research and consultations on youth development.
