Liangde Study

Liangde Study is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Liangde Study is located in the old enclosure of Tangwei Village, Shipai Town, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province. Built in the late Qing Dynasty by Li Lijia of the fourth branch of the Tangwei Li family, it faces south and features a traditional three-bay, two-courtyard layout. The structure spans a total width of 10.55 meters and a depth of 11.29 meters, covering an area of approximately 119 square meters. A door on the right leads to the courtyard, while the main hall’s side rooms feature [0]. The front wall of the courtyard and the left wall are adorned with green-glazed floral windows, flanked by plaster carvings and couplets. Side doors on either side of the windows open into narrow alleys. The interior beam structure is logically designed with high-quality materials; the carved door panels, eave boards, spandrels, and decorative screens inside the rooms are exquisitely crafted, demonstrating a high level of craftsmanship. It holds significant historical and artistic value for the study of township studies and educational conditions in the Lingnan region during the Qing Dynasty. It was designated as a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit in 2006.

Tangwei Village: Located in the eastern part of Dongguan City, Tangwei Village in Shipai Town covers an area of 1.57 square kilometers. The village boasts a well-connected road network, with three major roads—Taihe Middle Road, Shigang Avenue, and Li Heng Road—running through it, ensuring convenient transportation and a pleasant environment. The ancient village within Tangwei is recognized for its well-preserved historic architecture, ecological surroundings, and rich traditional folk culture. In May 2006, it was announced by the State Council as part of the sixth batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.
