The former site of the medical station of the Third Battalion, Guangdong People’s Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Forces is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The former site of the medical station of the Third Battalion, Guangdong People’s Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Forces is located in Wengyao Village Group, Dalin Village, Dalingshan Town, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province. It is a mud-brick civilian house. In April 1941, the Third Battalion established its medical station here. At that time, the medical conditions of the troops were extremely poor, with a shortage of medicine and rudimentary medical equipment. The medical staff overcame the challenges by using salt water as a disinfectant, gathering medicinal herbs, and preparing their own medications to treat the wounded and sick soldiers of the guerrilla forces. This site was renovated in 2005. It faces northeast and is situated southwest, with an almost square floor plan. It is a single-room structure, measuring 7.1 meters in length and 7.6 meters in width, featuring a flush-gable roof construction. The building covers an area of approximately 50 square meters. This site holds significant value for studying the history of the Guangdong people’s anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle.

As part of the remnants of the Dalingshan Anti-Japanese Base, the medical station ruins were designated and announced as part of the sixth group of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units by the State Council in May 2006, and were named a Dongguan Patriotic Education Base by the Dongguan Spiritual Civilization Construction Committee in April 2008.

Dalin Village: Located southwest of Dalingshan Town, Dalin Village is 3 kilometers from the town center, covering a total area of 7 square kilometers. It administers four natural villages—"Xiayouguling," "Shangyouguling," "Wengyao," and "Dawangling"—and seven villager groups, with a total population of 19,860, including 2,363 registered residents. In 2010, the village achieved a total industrial and agricultural output value of 1,698.49 million yuan, with a collective income of 5.22 million yuan at the village and group levels, and an average per capita income of 12,913 yuan among villagers. In recent years, Dalin Village has successively been recognized as a “Guangdong Provincial Health Village,” a “Provincial-Level First-Class Comprehensive Archives Management Unit,” and more.
