The former training ground of the Third Battalion of the Guangdong People’s Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Forces is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The former training ground of the Third Battalion of the Guangdong People’s Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Forces is located in Dawangling Village, Dalingshan Town, Dongguan City. It is an irregular strip-shaped open area. After the Third Battalion advanced into Dalingshan in October 1940, it developed this site into a training ground to improve the military skills of officers and soldiers and enhance combat effectiveness, where military training was conducted.

In May 1941, to meet the needs of rapid troop expansion and guerrilla warfare, the Guangdong People’s Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Forces held a military training class at Dawangling. Officers from platoon and squad levels selected from the Third and Fifth Battalions participated, using the training ground for drills. The site measures 46.5 meters in length and 11–21 meters in width, covering an area of approximately 1,000 square meters. This historical site holds significant value for the study of Guangdong’s anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle.

Designated as a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit in 2006.

Dalingshan Village: Located southwest of Dalingshan Town, 3 kilometers from the town center, Dalingshan Village covers a total area of 7 square kilometers. It administers four natural villages—Xiayouguling, Shangyouguling, Wengyao, and Dawangling—and seven villager groups, with a total population of 19,860, including 2,363 registered residents. In 2010, the village achieved a combined industrial and agricultural output value of 1.69849 billion yuan, with a collective income of 5.22 million yuan at the village and group levels, and an average per capita income of 12,913 yuan.
